Overview of The ECPs Training in Egypt

Background/Objective: Early career psychiatrists around the world face a lot of challenges. A lot of
attention should be given to their needs starting from their undergraduate education in psychiatry,
and through their post graduate training.
Despite psychiatry in Egypt is dated back to the Pharaohs, early career psychiatrists’ challenges and
needs are not much different from their international counterparts.
An overview of the training in psychiatry for undergraduate medical students, the post graduate
training, and the postgraduate education will be discussed.
