Method: With the key words of RCT and art therapy, a comprehensive and systematic search on
several electronic databases was conducted; inclusive and exclusive criteria were applied to find out
only the RCTs using art drawing strategies in a therapeutic group for people’s mental well-being.
Result: Totally, 17 RCTs were selected and the art strategies used in these trials were extracted and
compared.
Conclusion: What kinds of art strategies could have positive influences on people’s mental
well-being were discussed. Based on the evidence of the studies, suggestions on group art drawing
strategies were presented.
